CAD/CAM specialist Open Mind Technologies is said to have significantly shaped and advanced modern 5-axis simultaneous machining in tool and mould-making. The company serves users across all industries. It has sales and service offices in 15 countries.

And it continues growing. With 305 employees end 2018, this is expected to grow to 330 by the end of its anniversary year, while new subsidiaries will start operations, the company says.

“We began with just 20 employees - but our love for technology and our innovative spirit are somethings that have not changed,” says Dr. Josef Koch, CTO and one of the founders of Open Mind.

Its global subsidiaries practices the theme “Think global and act local”. The software developer places importance on being close to the customer to offer direct advice and optimal service on site.

Two Hypermill releases per year ensure that current developments and requirements are implemented in the software for tool and mould-making as well as the automotive, aviation, production machining and energy sectors. An in-house innovation team is constantly looking for new approaches and technologies to meet global manufacturing challenges and further develop efficient solutions.
