Security is a key requirement and Wibu offers security concepts for Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things. At the company's booth, visitors will be able to learn how Code-Meter enables manufacturers to entitle users to access specific product features. All they need is a unique firm code assigned to their organisation, the company explains. With the new universal firm code, licenses can be used, transferred, and borrowed via software-based activation, dongles, the cloud, and even in environments that are not equipped with an Internet connection. The new certificate-based security method from Wibu-Systems creates added value for users and manufacturers alike.

Furthermore, the company's new flash memory Cm-Card/SD 4GB and the Cm-Card/micro SD 8GB come equipped with the most advanced technology: the S8 flash controller with Hymap technology from Hyperstone, and a smart card chip from Infineon‘s SLM97 family for the Code-Meter security component.(bs)
