Not least for this reason, the experts at Nan Yun Industrial, founded in 1993, continue to develop high-performance, highly mixing screws and barrels. With around 100 employees, the company manufactures screws and barrels with diameters between 12 and 450 mm and a length of up to 8 meters.

Improve quality and efficiency

"Before the design, our engineers conduct a thorough analysis of the respective planned machine model of the client, the required production capacity, and the properties of the specific plastic," explains Iris Chen, Business Planning Group Supervisor at Nan Yun. "All relevant parameters that can influence screw performance, such as screw type, L/D ratio, flight depth, helix angle, and the like, are initially developed based on proven theoretical principles. This systematic approach, combined with the expertise of the specialists, ensures that Nan Yun's screws and barrels optimally contribute to improving product quality and production efficiency in the clients' machines and systems."

Special manufacturing processes enable highly durable and resilient products that are unique in their own way. During bimetallic screw welding with PTA powder, the specialists at Nan Yun ensure that the weld path is fully fused with the base material, thereby increasing the service life of the screws.

Special welding process

The experts also enable surface hardening to HRC 58/62 with PTA welding. The hardness layer reaches a thickness of 1.5 mm, and the hardness does not decrease with depth. Additionally, the process offers excellent corrosion resistance. The abrasion resistance/wear resistance of the hardened layer is two to three times higher than that of conventional heat treatment.
