MEX 2017 PLM for SMEs out-of-the-box

| Editor: Briggette Jaya

CCE will present its Match software that has been specially developed for the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises. It is a preconfigured version of Dassault Systèmes' 3D-Experience platform, which, in addition to an ERP interface, also contains many useful Catia add-ons.

“The implementation of PLM software needs to be faster and easier. This is particularly true for small and medium-sized enterprises.” It was precisely this challenge CCE had faced last year, explains Managing Director Marc Holtermann. The result of this intensive software development work is a new preconfigured solution for machine and tool making that significantly reduces both the costs for customising and implementation, the company says.

A key topic is the continuity and consistence of the processes: Match connects Catia / Enovia and the ERP system via an interface that makes an automatic flow of information possible. The data can be exchanged from CAD and PPS in both uni-directional and bi-directional ways. An interface to the ERP system (ratio.net) is already available as standard, while others will be developed in future.

The entire configuration of the software is optimised for the needs of the industry. This also applies to the integrated Catia tools that facilitate the work of engineers and designers. Match, for example, contains uni-Tool-Set V6 that can be used to create attributes such as material, dimensions and weight for E-Bom. With the uni-Part-list xPDM, which is also integrated, one can create and update bill of materials (BOM) in the Catia V5 within a few seconds. For each component, the BOM information is stored as a parameter in the part. With the new xPDM profile, uni-Part-list also allows a quick and easy import of V5 data into V6.

“For this project, we worked closely with Amberger Werkzeugbau, where the software is already successfully in use,” Holtermann adds.
