According to the company, the connectors are compact, robust, and high-temperature resistant, designed for serial production. The plug connectors are said to provide manufacturers of hot runner systems with a range of advantages.

The art of stable, consistent temperature control

Due to the increase in cavities and miniaturisation of hot runner systems, the small size of the T+H plug connector is a significant factor, T+H says. Moreover, when setting up hot runner systems, it is now possible to work with exact cable lengths or with prefabricated wiring harnesses so that the assembly is optimised and the blending of existing lines is unnecessary. The connector can be designed completely isolated with ceramic on the heating and thermocouple side. This is said to allow the option of using thermal processes, such as an electrical swirl pool, which is running at approximately 450 to 500°C, to easily free the nozzle and heater from plastic residue.

The current version of the release mechanism has also been optimised through the use of a rocker. According to the company, it can now be released with a simple and quick motion without the need for an additional tool in the locking release.
