Software Open Mind's Hypermill CAM program receives Autodesk certification

The confirmed integration, including data associativity, is said to allow for continuous workflows from design through to CNC manufacturing.

Open Mind Technologies has announced that its Hypermill CAM solution has been certified by Autodesk to be fully compatible with Autodesk Inventor, including Autodesk Inventor 2014.

The solution can be accessed directly from within the Autodesk Inventor 2014 user interface and both systems share the same database. This means that CAM operations are automatically updated in Hypermill when changes are made to the CAD model and users can immediately find the best possible machining strategy for their product in an end-to-end workflow.
