The IoT Gateway V3 from Bosch Rexroth has been further developed to ensure networking and transparency in the production environment.
According to Bosch Rexroth, Gateway V3 now provides additional connectivity thanks to close collaboration with various partners. For the secure remote maintenance of machines, encrypted data transmission and a protected machine network provide advanced security features. The company offers a completely pre-configured IoT Gateway Rack that can be immediately implemented in the production environment using plug-and-play.
Data is the key for the optimisation of the overall equipment efficiency (OEE). The local monitoring solution of the V3 provides local visualisation of production data. Sophisticated functions allow the user to quickly identify optimisation potential in their production facility for increasing efficiency.
V3 now has enhanced security mechanisms to protect it from viruses and trojans. A configured VPN tunnel ensures the secure transmission of production and machine data to higher-level systems. Also, V3 can be used as a secure endpoint for remote maintenance applications. A firewall protects against unauthorised access and prevents the spread of malware within the machine network. The administration and maintenance of V3 is done via the device portal, with which IoT devices can be managed throughout their life cycle.
V3 supports the latest CISS sensor generation from Bosch. The sensors are integrated using plug-and-play mode via the USB interface and offer a variety of different sensor functions. Compared with conventional sensors, the commissioning time is shortened manifold and there is an increase in the number of measured variables.
The IoT Gateway Rack is a complete all-in-one solution that allows V3 to be immediately applicable in production. It offers various interfaces, CE marking, IP65 protection class and enables easy and fast application in production.
