Nowadays, the high demands on component quality, cycle time, 24/7 production and automation in injection moulding place a significant focus on the process reliability of mould temperature control. To this end, Nonnenmann will expand its portfolio in autumn 2025 and will henceforth offer water batteries for injection moulding production.

These compoentes are used to distribute water and regulate flow close to the mould, allowing the user to monitor the temperature control flow for the individual water circuits of the mould on the injection moulding machine and make direct adjustments to the respective channel. Combining a visual flow indicator, manual flow regulator and thermometer, the water battery is an essential component in the process chain for effective and efficient mould temperature control. Mounted on the injection moulding machine, the water battery enables flow indication and manual flow control for each individual temperature control circuit of the mould during ongoing production. The products also feature a thermometer for measuring the temperature of the temperature control medium. Nonnenmann offers water batteries with a 1¼" main connection on the left or right side for 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 circuits. The outlets always have a ⅜" internal thread and can be flexibly equipped with interchangeable accessories such as coupling nipples, hose nozzles or other connection options as required. The systems can be used for temperature control applications with water up to a maximum of 100°C, with a permissible pressure between 10 bar (20°C) and 4 bar (100°C).

The water flow regulators currently available are designed for a maximum flow rate of 30 l/min per circuit. According to the company, a further version for 10 l/min is also planned for 2026. The water batteries are compact in design and can be easily installed directly on the injection moulding machine using the mounting holes provided or various brackets that are available as additional accessories.
