Developed specifically for injection moulding operations, Nonnenmann’s new hose trolley streamlines maintenance, shortens setup times, and helps extend the service life of hoses and couplings.

Component and equipment supplier Nonnenmann is a well-established name in the plastics industry when it comes to equipping injection moulding companies with coupling technology, temperature control hoses and other components for temperature control, machine tubing and process optimisation in production. For several years now, the company has also been focusing increasingly on solutions for maintenance and repair.

As a result of this approach, Nonnenmann will launch a hose trolley as a new product in October 2025. This in-house development offers users a standardised, application-oriented solution and saves customers from having to build their own costly and time-consuming designs. The new hose trolley can be expanded modularly with various accessories and attachments and adapted to customer-specific requirements – ensuring greater order, cleanliness and safety in maintenance and production. The basic idea behind the hose trolley is the orderly and clean storage of hoses as rolls or in the form of individual hoses, which can be attached to the holders. The trolley is also mobile and can be stationed and moved in the production hall at any injection moulding machine or in the maintenance area. A drip tray is located at the bottom of the trolley to collect residual water or thermal oil from the temperature control hoses, thus preventing contamination of the hall floor. This also increases the occupational safety of employees. The basic version of the hose trolley consists of two interconnected modules, making it accessible from both sides. In this version, the dimensions are 1700 mm (H) x 800 mm (W) x 800 mm (D).

The 3 mm steel sheet guarantees stability and sturdiness for the requirements and long-term use in production operations. The rear panel has a perforated grid for flexible mounting of accessories.

Various holders are available for storing the hoses. This means that short hoses, long hoses or cables, for example for the hot runner, up to 3 metres in length or entire hose reels can be stored. A drain hole for residual water in the drip tray and the push handle complete the trolley to create a practical solution. The basic version consists of two connected modules, which means that the trolley can be moved and securely positioned with four lockable castors. A maximum of four modules can be combined to form one trolley. In addition, a single module can also be purchased for permanent wall mounting. To complement the two-sided pre-assembled basic model, the company offers various add-on parts and accessories to complete the hose trolley. Users can choose between short or long support rods and various end plates. A storage shelf and a can holder are also available. In addition, the HTA hose mounting device for Push Lock hoses, also available in the portfolio, can be mounted directly on the hose trolley using brackets. This means that hoses with the required couplings can be assembled directly on the trolley on site at the injection moulding machine.

The new hose trolley is used in injection moulding production and maintenance. Thanks to its mobility, the trolley can also be used as a supply trolley directly at the injection moulding machine, which saves time in day-to-day business by reducing travel distances. The hoses and components are neatly arranged on the trolley, providing a good overview so that the required items are quickly available and unnecessary search times are eliminated. Any remaining liquid from the hoses is collected in the trolley, ensuring cleanliness in the workplace and increasing safety during operation. It also increases the value retention of the equipment, as couplings and hoses are not damaged due to proper storage. With various modular accessories available, Nonnenmann offers a flexible and versatile product solution. According to the company, the advantages and benefits of purchasing the trolley result in a short payback period in operation. The product combines cost savings, thanks to the longer service life of hoses and couplings, with time savings, as search times are eliminated and fitters have to cover shorter distances, which in turn leads to minimised set-up times and increased production capacities. Process reliability is also increased, as the hose trolley ensures that the right material is always available in the right place. It also minimises the risk of accidents, as there is no residual liquid.
