Nonnenmann celebrates 35 years of excellence by introducing a new standardised variant of ejector pins in summer 2024. These innovative pins feature a smaller inner diameter, serving as a starting hole for wire EDM, enabling quick adaptations for repairs or special dimensions.

Standard parts supplier Nonnenmann has been an established name in the toolmaking and plastics industry for 35 years. Since the company was founded in 1989, the ejector pins and ejector pin product areas have been part of the standard portfolio — both as standard parts from stock and as customised parts manufactured according to design data.

In summer 2024, the company will present a new variant of the ejector pins as a standardised off-the-shelf product with a smaller inner diameter, which serves as a starting hole for subsequent wire EDM at the customer's premises.

The standardised ejector pins with starting hole are hardened and correspond to the basic dimensions and tolerances of the ejector pins in accordance with DIN ISO 8405. The distinguishing feature is the inside diameter, which, in contrast to the standard, is significantly smaller over the entire length and thus serves as a start hole for wire EDM. With this blank, the customer then has the option of quickly adapting the required internal diameter to the current requirements, for example for repairs or special dimensions.

The ejector pins with starting hole enable fast reaction times in mould construction or maintenance for adapting the pins to the required requirements in the mould, thus avoiding expensive downtimes. This makes it possible to react quickly in the event of damage or spontaneous design changes and the standardisation ensures a fast and cost-effective repair or alternative to previous procurements and machining. Nonnenmann offers the products made from the material specification WS (≈ 1.2516) hardened in various dimensions from an outer diameter of 4 mm to 16 mm with different lengths up to 300 mm.
