Nikon has expanded its industrial microscopy portfolio with the launch of new Eclipse LED microscope models, a digital microscope camera and updated imaging software. The additions are aimed at improving colour accuracy, usability and workflow efficiency in industrial inspection and research applications.

The new Eclipse LV150NA LED and LV150N LED upright microscopes, together with the Eclipse MA200 LED inverted microscope, strengthen Nikon’s reflected-light microscopy offering. Following the introduction of the LV100N series in March 2025, the new models feature a high colour-rendering LED light source that replaces halogen illumination. Nikon says this improves brightness and colour fidelity while extending lamp life from around 1,100 hours to approximately 50,000 hours, significantly reducing maintenance requirements.

The LV150NA LED and LV150N LED are designed for flexible reflected-light inspection, with accessories configurable to suit different observation methods. The MA200 LED targets inspection of industrial components as well as research and development tasks. By integrating the LED light source into the stand, the MA200 LED also reduces the system footprint by up to 100 mm, improving space efficiency on the shop floor or in the lab.

Across the new microscope range, Nikon emphasises backward compatibility. Accessories from previous systems can be used with the new models, allowing users to expand or upgrade existing setups without replacing established components.

Alongside the microscopes, Nikon has introduced the Digital Sight 100 camera for industrial and measuring microscopes. Launched in December 2025, the camera is designed to deliver high image quality and streamlined workflows when combined with Nikon’s NIS-Elements software. When paired with compatible industrial microscopes, the camera provides 6.5-megapixel resolution, while the camera alone supports up to 17.7 megapixels and wide-field imaging.

The Digital Sight 100 supports USB 3.2, HDMI, Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections, enabling flexible operation and image sharing, including remote use. Nikon positions the camera for use across a wide range of industries where high-quality documentation and efficient collaboration are required.

The camera is supplied with NIS-Elements LE software, which provides core imaging functions such as camera control, calibration, annotation and basic measurement on Windows PCs and tablets. Integration with upcoming versions of NIS-Elements AR/BR/D, scheduled for release in January 2026, is intended to further enhance imaging and analysis workflows.

With the combined launch of new microscopes, imaging hardware and software, Nikon is targeting greater efficiency, lower maintenance effort and improved image quality in industrial microscopy applications.
