Inovatools Eckerle & Ertel New milling cutters for high-performance cutting
Germany – Tool manufacturer Inovatools will be presenting a range of new tool solutions, including the latest version of its Speedmax twist drill for titanium and other high-tech materials; its "First Choice" supplementary range for micromachining; and the Inoscrew modular milling system for tool and mould making.
Its stand at AMB will also highlight its new milling cutters for high-performance cutting (HPC). Inovatools claims that these new “power packs” will deliver a service life up to 30% longer than HPC tools currently available. The company will also be presenting its new, 250-page catalogue.
Its new VHM HPC milling cutters in short and long versions with HF manifest the results of Inovatools’ new developmental direction in the fields of carbide metals, microgeometry and coating. The company says that, during customer tests, the new milling cutter exhibited up to 30% longer service life, depending on the application, even under the extreme loads associated with fast feed rates, considerable working depths and very high removal rates. Extensions to Inovatools’ Speedmax range, which has already been established on the market, in 3xD and 8xD, will be on show. The twist drill for stainless steel, titanium and alloy steels has been developed for machining these materials at high speed. Special edge preparation and mould design covering geometry, chip control and high-performance coating enable it to be used with higher feed rates and over a longer service life, Inova claims.
