Cumsa has announced the introduction of the new floating insert in their slides, the CS and MS models. This innovative design features a floating insert that allows for self-centering in the cavity, facilitated by a 10° cone The insert’s horizontal and vertical movement is activated when the mould closes.

The CS and MS models are available in six insert dimensions and nine different strokes, providing a versatile range of sizes suitable for various moulds. The moulding insert can be easily disassembled for customer machining, and pre-drilled starter holes enable the customisation of cooling channels.

Key features and advantages of this product include faster installation, requiring only one screw on the ejection side and two on the injection side. This simplifies the installation process and expedites maintenance. The inclusion of a Turcite wear plate eliminates the need for lubrication, making it appropriate for cleanroom applications and extending the material’s lifespan by reducing friction wear.

The compact design of the product allows it to be used in small spaces, and the overall cost reduction can be up to 50 percent less than other slides on the market, due to the absence of angle pins, lateral sliding guides, or external retainers.
