The award was based on a survey of employees at a number of companies that covered topics such as worker satisfaction and leadership quality, and it was conducted by the Institute for Leadership and Human Resource Management at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.

According to Braunform, strong showings in the categories of “identification with the company and its products” and “safe working place” helped it secure the award.
