For flexible cartridge construction, the F2010 comes in diameters from 80 to 315 mm. As the axial run-out of the inserts can be adjusted with micron precision, applications of the cutter include fine finishing, the company explains.

Blaxx inserts, available in three sizes, are offered either as the L55T universal geometry or as L85T, which has sharp cutting edges for low cutting force applications on aluminium.

The Tiger.tec Silver inserts have a high level of toughness and hardness, and feature a surface treatment that reduces the in-cycle machining stresses of wet and dry applications. The CVD-Al2O3-grade coating counters thermal shock influences that can lead to thermal cracking at the cutting edge, and minimises tribochemical wear on the flank face. These are areas that can lead to premature insert failure.
