Jongen has introduced its Power-Mill 542 cutter for high feed rates with axial depths of cut up to 1.0mm.

The company said the metal removal rates allow for lowest working times and thus offer high productivity. Four precision-sintered insert edges (type FP 542) are equipped with an highly positive chip breaker, the company explained. Thanks to the geometry, almost no radial forces are active.

These inserts and the high-strength milling bodies provide process security and suit a range of materials. The different milling cutter designs (shell type mills, shank type mills, screw-in cutters) offer flexibility. Long overhangs or close-to-contour roughing are possible.
