Precision at the smallest scale will take centre stage in Besançon (France) from 29 September to 2 October 2026, when Micronora opens its doors once again. The international trade fair brings together the global microtechnology and high-precision engineering community to present current developments across the submillimetric technology ecosystem.

The event covers the entire value chain, from research and development and engineering to manufacturing technologies, subcontracting, tooling, metrology, and the assembly and integration of complex systems. Micronora addresses industries with particularly high technical requirements, including medical technology, aerospace, defence, electronics and watchmaking.

Exhibiting companies specialise in designing, producing and inspecting components that operate with tolerances measured in microns. Applications for these microtechnologies extend across numerous markets, enabling innovations such as advanced medical implants, optimised aeronautical sensors, improved watch movements, enhanced defence systems and more efficient electronic components.

Micronora places a strong emphasis on cross-disciplinary exchange. Researchers, design offices, manufacturers, subcontractors, system integrators and metrology experts come together at the event to share expertise, explore new applications and encourage collaboration across sectors.

A further element of the 2026 edition is the “Zoom” event format, which combines exhibition features with applied demonstrations focused on a specific industrial field. In 2026, the Zoom event will focus on the role of microtechnology in the aeronautics, space and defence industries, highlighting how precision technologies are contributing to future industrial developments.
