Meusburger offers special plates in eight different standard variations, which are available in more than 25 material grades and manufactured to very tight tolerances thanks to the stress-relieving heat treatment carried out in the company’s own furnaces. Even so, the special plates are ready for dispatch after three working days.

The standard parts manufacturer’s plate configurator offers diverse possibilities to configure the appropriate plate. This can be done step by step with the help of features such as a check of entered values in the background, the material selection wizard, and interactive selection tables with illustrations.

The variations 1 to 8 cover a wide range of different predefined machining combinations. Requesting them is very easy. All available materials are heat-treated for stress relief. To make it easier to select the right material, Meusburger offers the material selection wizard. Thanks to the easy handling and the user-specific search filters, customers can quickly find the right material for their project.

Since the quality of the sheet metal is decisive for the subsequent machining of the plates and bars, the company places the highest demands on their steel suppliers. Furthermore, all sheet metal is subject to both a spectral analysis and a strength test directly on the premises to check the quality. Only flawless steel from the best-known steelworks can make it through the quality check at Meusburger and thus into one of the three in-house furnaces. These have a total capacity of 240 tonnes per day. Low-deformation processing is thus guaranteed and hard points in the microstructure are eliminated, avoiding the risk of abrupt mould or die breakages. Stress-relieving heat treatment reduces lead times, increases precision, and results in cost savings, thereby providing a competitive advantage in the long term.
