Meusburger blocks for eroding are especially suitable as starting material for the manufacturing of cutting punches and die plates. They feature maximum precision and high flexibility and are thus an optimal solution for mould and die makers for demanding machining operations. Furthermore, the blocks for eroding are available from stock at the standard parts manufacturer, even in hardened versions.

Production of the Meusburger blocks for eroding is subject to strict quality checks, so the blocks guarantee maximum dimensional accuracy. This is especially important for making precision moulds and dies, for example for the automotive industry, for medical technology or for producing complex plastic parts. The precise machining of the blocks enables efficient further processing and contributes significantly to improving the quality of the final products.

Maximum flexibility due to various versions

In order to respond to the different requirements in mould and die making, the blocks for eroding are available in a wide range of sizes and materials. This enables flexible use of the blocks for eroding in different applications and machining processes. The steel selection and working hardness depend on the sheet thickness and the strength of the material to be cut. The greater these two, the higher the loads on the die.

Configuration of custom blocks for eroding

The Meusburger portal offers customers a practical option for customising blocks for eroding: they can have starting holes introduced in the blocks. These freely configurable starting holes with a diameter of 1 mm enable maximum flexibility when designing the EDM contours. Except for the materials CF-H25S+ and CF-H40S+ (carbide), this option is available for all blocks for eroding, whether heat-treated for stress relief or hardened, and spares users the usually necessary introduction of starting holes for wire EDM, which can be quite cost-expensive. Moreover, the company also offers the possibility to introduce threads according to individual specifications into the already hardened blocks for eroding, so the fixation of contour punches is further optimised. This in turn contributes to an even more efficient and smooth production process.
