With its Run product line, Ready brings metrology directly onto the shopfloor. As manufacturing moves toward faster cycles, higher variability and greater process transparency, metrology is increasingly shifting from the lab to the shopfloor. With its Run product line, metrology specialist Ready addresses this trend by offering coordinate measuring machines specifically designed for use directly in production environments.

Run systems are engineered to deliver metrology-grade accuracy under real shopfloor conditions, enabling manufacturers to carry out inspections close to the machining process. By shortening feedback loops, the systems support faster process adjustments and improved production control.

To meet the demands of industrial environments, Run CMMs are equipped with linear motors, eliminating the need for air supply or lubrication. This maintenance-free design enhances reliability and makes the machines suitable for continuous operation in challenging conditions.

Focus on usability and automation

Ease of use is a central design criterion. The Easy Runner interface allows operators to start inspection programs with minimal interaction, while the moving table concept simplifies part loading and handling. Optional clamping systems further support ergonomic operation.

The moving table architecture also facilitates robot integration. Because both the portal and the measuring head remain outside the moving range, safety during set-up is improved and automated loading processes can be implemented more easily. Part changes require only a barcode scan, after which the system automatically loads the relevant program and generates measurement reports.

Stable accuracy on the shopfloor

To ensure consistent performance over time, Run systems incorporate features such as an automatic stylus cleaning unit and an active anti-vibration granite base with pneumatic dampers. These measures help maintain accuracy and repeatability despite vibrations and environmental influences typical of production areas.

From inspection to process optimisation

Run CMMs are designed for both in-process verification and end-of-line inspection. Immediate access to measurement data enables manufacturers to identify deviations early, reduce scrap rates and shorten set-up times.

Integrated CAD import and GD&T analysis provide detailed insight into part geometry and tolerances, supporting compliance with specifications and contributing to continuous process optimisation.
