Technische Informationssysteme (TIG) develops and sells Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) worldwide. According to the company, more than 10,000 injection moulding machines have been interconnected so far using TIG software. TIG has seven of the Top-10 automotive suppliers as its customers, the company said.
The MES specialist has grown strongly, especially in the last year. Reason enough for TIG to present a new brand image. Since then, TIG shines in new splendor. A new, younger and fresher logo is meant to reflect the slogan, “efficiency guaranteed”. Three dots, grouped in the top-right corner, symbolise an arrow pointing onward and upward to the future.
Moreover, TIG’s new product range also sets the course for the future. It ranges from TIG 2-go (a new low-cost entry-level solution) to TIG big data (an extensive and location-independent high-performance analytics framework) and TIG authentig (a well-established MES system).
The TIG product range thus meets the megatrend of Industry 4.0. TIG 2go is a quick and inexpensive way to overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and process values. Using simple hardware components, any machine in the world can be connected to TIG 2go in the Cloud via standard interfaces with the highest security level. TIG 2go provides an OEE and visualises machine status and process values. Users have to pay just one euro per machine and day. If customers want more, switching to TIG authentig is possible at any time.
TIG authentig is the name of the company's full-fledged MES system. According to TIG, the modular software solution, TIG authentig, can be intelligently interconnected with any machine. This makes the production and its quality transparent. The optimisation potentials are demonstrated. The new licensing model, TIG authentig subscription, offers a simple and cost-effective way to one’s own MES system, the company announced. Thanks to the low initial investment (price per machine and year, including maintenance), the TIG authentig subscription model guarantees an even return on investment. TIG will present its MES solutions at Fakuma 2018.
