Mold-Masters Europe Manufacturer of hot runners and process control systems completes facility expansion in India
India/United States - Mold-Masters, a manufacturer of hot runners and process control systems, has completed expansion at its Coimbatore, India, hot runner facility to better serve the rapidly growing market demands in India, the company said.
Kannan Venkatraman, Mold-Masters managing director, India, hosted an opening function while Hans Hagelstein, Mold-Masters vice president and GM for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India, performed the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony officially opening the facility.
“As India’s injection moulding market continues to grow, so too will the complexity of the moulded products the region produces,” Hagelstein said. “With complex products come increasingly complex moulds and an increased reliance on hot runners, which is where Milacron’s Mold-Masters brand excels. Whether the mould is simple or incredibly complex, we produce hot runner systems that meet these individual needs, ensuring efficiency, accuracy and reliability.”
Milacron’s Coimbatore, India staff has grown from a small team to over 350 employees today. The 930-m² facility in Chinnavedampati, Coimbatore, is 4 km away from the existing manufacturing facility and about 8 km from Mold-Masters’ head office in Saibaba Colony. According to Mold-Masters, this facility will predominantly manufacture the automotive and large part-focussed hot runner system, Fusion G2. Its drop-in, single-point connection design is said to ensure easy installation, faster start-ups, reliable operation and user-friendly maintenance.
