The Make-to-Order Days, or MTO Days for short, a new event tailored to the requirements of those in the precision part, contract manufacturing and machining industry, will be taking place on 9 and 10 June 2026 on the grounds of Messe Stuttgart. It will see buyers and decision-makers from a variety of innovative and progressive industries meet with leading manufacturing partners. Exhibitors are set to benefit from a unique platform providing opportunities for showcasing their expertise to a top-class audience and connecting with potential new business partners.

Since the official launch in September, Make-to-Order Days has met with a positive response. A number of companies have already confirmed their participation, while praising the innovative trade fair concept and targeted approach to resolving current industry challenges. The industry’s partner associations also fully support this new platform and see MTO Days as key to the development of the entire precision manufacturing industry. According to the trade fair organizer, exhibitor registrations accepted since the launch of MTO Days have exceeded all expectations.

A key element of the Make-to-Order Days is the stand-construction concept built around comprehensive “all-in” packages. These provide exhibitors with a modern, consistent booth design that supports a professional appearance. The packages include the stand as well as a wide range of communication and organisational services, from technical equipment to event logistics. This allows exhibitors to concentrate on their core objective: engaging with the right partners.

Synergies with parallel events and targeted networking

The concept includes a detailed services directory, which will provide visitors with prior information about the suppliers exhibiting and the opportunity to optimally plan their time at the event. Not all encounters are thus left to chance and arranged introductions may set the foundation for lasting partnerships. One particular highlight of MTO Days is the date, with the event taking place at the same time as established trade fairs Cast Forge, the international trade fair for castings and forgings with processing, and The Battery Show Europe. The synergies created by these parallel events are set to facilitate exhibitor efforts to reach new target groups and further expand their professional networks across all industries.

“After a very informative talk from the MTO Days project team at the general meeting of the German Association of the Turning Parts Industry, it immediately became clear to us that Make-to-Order Days provides the perfect platform for showcasing our innovative strength and precision to key decision-makers. This is where we can make the connections that will ensure the long-term success of our business,” explains Thomas Braun, Managing Director of Maier Präzisionstechnik.

Alongside the core exhibition, a programme of accompanying events will focus on the transfer of expertise and personal networking, with an expert forum taking a closer look at the latest trends involving digitalisation, precision and production. Networking areas and separate meeting rooms will provide the ideal conditions for promising encounters, confidential discussions and successful business deals.

“The Make-to-Order Days is exactly the platform our industry currently needs: innovative, connected and clearly focused on the challenges ahead. The programme of accompanying events with its separate meeting rooms promises to provide ideal conditions for successful business deals and new partnerships,” confirms Rolf Sauter, Managing Director of Sauter Drehteile Bärenthal and Deputy Chairman of Cluster Zerspanungstechnik.
