At Euromold 2013, AST Technology, a PCIC Group company specialising in comprehensive OEM support services, exhibited its upgraded version of the CVE Monitor that now includes tamper evidence and maintenance countdowns.

This is said to enable more robust reporting within the company’s On Demand system monitoring software. In addition, the CVE Monitor incorporates a unique new system called CVE Live, which gives users the ability to view mould activity in real time, according to the supplier.

Using a website interface, the monitor lets tool owners view information such as cycle times, quantity of cycles, and maintenance for tools running around the globe. CVE Live allows users to see alerts if maintenance is due or overdue and generates graphs and reports on the activity of a specific tool or group of tools, including a comparison via the Program Watch module. This provides supply chain and logistics personnel with timely information on inventory levels.

AST explained that it is also offering its consultancy services to the plastics industry, including Component Design for Manufacturing and Process Development and Optimisation.
