Seco Tools has significantly expanded its Turbo 10 square shoulder milling cutter product line with the introduction of Turbo 10 inserts with new geometries and radii, as well as a new range of helical cutters.

According to the supplier, the inserts are now available with corner radii ranging from 0.4mm to 3.1mm. New geometries for the range of ground inserts provide manufacturers with increased performance and process reliability when machining materials that provide specific challenges, such as aluminium, stainless steels, titanium alloys and other difficult-to-machine alloys, the company noted.

Moreover, the supplier’s Turbo 10 helical range is said to be ideal for helical shoulder milling operations that require process stability, flexibility and high precision. These cutters are available in diameters ranging from 20mm to 54mm. They include Weldon, Seco Weldon, Combimaster heads, Seco-Capto and Arbor mounting options, and can be used for slotting, shouldering, ramping, facing, pocketing, plunging and turn milling applications, the supplier said.
