Anca plans to launch a Dual Robot technology in the UK at the Seco Tools Inspiration through Innovation event. An additional robot enables users to carry out more processes unmanned.
With Anca's multi-robot production cell, users have the ability to integrate a number of operations into a single production line. According to the company, the single-base cell includes automated part loading, high precision grinding, and quality assurance.
When using a single robot, Anca's TXcell automated grinding machine, is able to load grinding wheel packs and the workpiece. An additional robot offers further possibilities. According to the company, this enables customers to operate a number of additional tasks unmanned. As Duncan Thompson, TXcell Product Manager explains: “Two robots in the cell has opened up possibilities to use their inherent flexibility to do numerous processing tasks.”
For example, one of those tasks an additional second robot can carry out is serial number tracking. Using a Cognex camery and Automator laser, the serial number can be read and processed for post grinding ID marking.
In this video, Anca explains how the dual robot technology works and what advantages it offers. Watch it to get an idea of how the robots work together!
The Seco Tools Inspiration through Innovation event is an annual event held at the Technology Centre in Elcester, Warwickshire. Its goal is to inspire by exchanging knowledge, offering collaboration opportunities and working in partnership. Adrian Wright, UK Sales Manager said: “This year is the first time we are attending Inspiration through Innovation and I am confident it will be a worthwhile event. Collaboration is the way forward and by sharing ideas and new innovations across the manufacturing sector we will together achieve new and better solutions that were previously not thought possible.”
