Lamiera has established itself as a leading event in the international arena of sheet metal forming and cutting. Italy plays a significant role in this industry, ranking second in global production and exports, and third in consumption.

Promoted by Ucimu-Sistemi per produrre, the Italian association of machine tools, robots, and automation systems manufacturers, and organised by CEU-Centro esposizioni Ucimu, Lamiera remains the only trade fair in Italy exclusively dedicated to the metal forming sector. The event attracts numerous Italian and international companies, offering a platform to showcase their latest projects and innovative solutions.

The exhibition will feature a wide array of machines, plants, and equipment for processing sheet metal, tubes, profiles, wires and structural metal fabrication. It will also include presses, molds and dies, moulding, surface treatments and finishing, parts, components, accessories, tooling, fastener materials, technical and industrial subcontracting. This year’s theme, “The Bright Side of Metal Forming,” emphasizes state-of-the-art technologies with a special focus on specific technological themes related to machine tools.

Several key areas will be highlighted:

Fabbrica Futura: Dedicated to software and technologies for connectivity, data management, automation, digital systems and robotics in sheet metal processing.
Saldatech: Offering a comprehensive view of the welding industry, a crucial technology in sheet-metal joining.
Fastener Industry: Showcasing screws, bolts, fastening and clamping systems.
World of Heat and Surface Treatments: Presenting machines, systems, accessories and consumables for pre- and post-production treatments of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Metrology & Testing: Focused on testing, measuring, and quality-control systems and machines essential for production.
Blech Italy Service: Covering technical subcontracting and services for the sector.

Additionally, this year Lamiera will introduce a Revamping & Retrofitting area, focusing on upgraded machines and plants equipped with new functionalities to meet market needs.

Alfredo Mariotti, General Manager of Ucimu, stated: “Lamiera is the only event dedicated exclusively to machines for cutting, processing and forming sheet metal. The high quality on show, and the attention focused, through the innovative exhibition themes, on the new leading technologies in the industry make the fair, year after year, more and more relevant and appealing, both nationally and internationally.”

The exhibition attracts global operators who value the opportunity to observe leading players in the sector. Data from past editions show significant participation from Italian manufacturers and a growing presence of foreign manufacturers from both established and emerging markets outside the EU.

The collection of subscriptions for Lamiera 2025 began recently, with numerous participation requests already received. Market trends for 2025-2027, along with incentives for Transition 5.0 and 4.0, are expected to benefit exhibitors, especially in the context of Italy’s significant consumer market.

Adding further value to the exhibition are various collateral initiatives and projects. The event area, Lamia Lamiera, will feature a rich program of meetings on relevant sector topics, along with initiatives related to education and the incoming of foreign operators, enhancing the overall visitor experience.
