Quickly wipe away liquids, absorb solvents, remove oil, grease and soot: It is impossible for an all-purpose cloth to perform all these tasks safely and efficiently. Nevertheless, many workplaces still have such an emergency aid. What appears practical at first glance turns out to be a catalyst for poor cleaning results and increasing amounts of waste. If a simple, non-reusable all-purpose cloth is used for all cleaning tasks, this can increase material consumption and lead to poorer cleaning results.

This is why hygiene product manufacturer Kimberly-Clark Professional offers the Powerclean product portfolio for the industrial sector. It includes practical wipe solutions that are optimised for the respective application. Instead of using one wipe for everything, the series contains cleaning wipes specially optimised for different types and degrees of soiling, so that nothing stands in the way of quick and complete removal of soiling.

While the X70 Powerclean, for example, is particularly resistant to solvents and cleaning agents, the X80 Powerclean retain their structure even when heavily soiled and even pick up chips completely without damaging the surfaces.

Thanks to their soft texture and optimised absorbency, light soiling on industrial surfaces can be removed much faster with Wypall L40 cleaning cloths than with conventional all-purpose cloths. Thanks to their special feel, they are equally gentle on hands and surfaces.

Unlike in an office environment, for example, the usual contaminants on surfaces in industrial production also include oils, greases and sometimes aggressive cleaning agents and solvents. Conventional cloths or wiping cloths are often unable to effectively absorb the grease molecules as they do not have the necessary absorbency or special structure. This is exactly what the X70 Powerclean is designed for. These cloths are extremely hard-wearing, so they do not tear when removing viscous deposits, but effectively bind the dirt and oil particles. By binding the aggressive media directly, they neither get onto the skin nor are they spread over the surface. At the same time, the cloths can be reused up to ten times, which significantly reduces the amount of waste.

High durability for demanding surfaces

Wypall X80 Powerclean wipes are suitable for cleaning the machines themselves and particularly demanding surfaces. They have been specially developed to remove metal chips and abrasion particles that adhere to the surfaces of machines, tools and workpieces. Thanks to the special structure, the cloth remains tear-resistant even under these difficult conditions. The X80s are suitable for particularly heavy-duty cleaning work where large quantities of chips and grease need to be picked up quickly without damaging the surfaces with the wiping motion.

The storage and dispensing of the Powerclean series is just as flexible as the application. Whether as a roll with centralised dispensing, folded into quarters in hygienic packaging or in a quickly accessible dispensing box: the freely selectable dispensing method allows the wipes to be stored in a safe and attractive form. At the same time, only as many wipes are dispensed at once as are needed for the desired purpose. This prevents unnecessary waste and promotes sustainability within the company.
