UNI-MILL step milling cutter type FP 723, developed especially for the machining of step-, slot- and face milling operations, in terms of roughing and finishing steels, high grade steels, cast iron and difficult to mill materials.

The new step milling system type 723 has been developed especially for the machining of step-, slot- and face milling operations, in terms of roughing and finishing steels, high grade steels, cast iron and difficult to mill materials.  

The tools offer a high productivity thanks to the precision ground inserts, with 6 effective cutting edges (reversible insert „3 to 6“). The ground plane chamfer at the inserts provides a high surface quality and precision, whereas high tool lives can be achieved thanks to the optimal coordination of cutting edges and cutting materials.

Furthermore the tools offer a high chip removal rate, since the axial depth of cut  ap is possible up to 12mm. Almost step-free surfaces (side walls) are gained by an axial depth of cut ap of up to 9mm.

The milling heads are made of very solid and additionally tempered tool steel and can therefore withstand highest charges. Nickel-coated surfaces of the tools ensure a high resistance against reweldings and corrosions.  

All tools are available as shell type mills made to DIN 8030-A and have bore holes for internal coolant passages. The programme comprises a diameter range from 40-160mm, in closed and standard tooth pitch, thus an excellent choice for almost all incoming milling operations is offered.
