Featuring key industry presentations, networking events, and exhibitor highlights on energy efficiency, the event received positive feedback and promises even more for its 2026 edition, co-locating with other major shows.

Interplas celebrated its 75th anniversary this week at the NEC in Birmingham. The event showcased new product launches and the latest advances in plastics technology, with over 540 exhibitors from 30 countries taking part. There were also two stages of presentations offering insights into manufacturing trends and practical inspiration for attendees.

Networking events were also held on the first two evenings, including the Interplas After Show Party and the Interplas Social.

Many exhibitors gave positive feedback. Richard Mumford, Sales Director for Krauss Maffei Group UK, highlighted the high level of visitors to their stand and the discussions they had about potential projects. Daniel Williams of Wittmann Battenfeld UK mentioned the significant number of visitors and new contacts made. He highlighted their focus on energy efficiency. Colin Tirel of Arburg found Interplas 2023 to be very beneficial, stating that it provided more contacts and discussions compared to the 2021 edition.

The Interplas Insights Conference featured presentations from key industry players such as Jaguar Land Rover, the British Plastics Federation and Innovate UK. Additional features such as the Knowledge Pavilion allowed attendees to interact with industry experts, while the Plastics City Pavilion showcased 20 new exhibitors.

Duncan Wood, CEO of Rapid News Group, organisers of the event, commented on the success of the event and its importance to the UK's £27 billion plastics industry. He also mentioned plans for the 2026 edition, which will be co-located with other events such as TCT 3Sixty and Med-Tech Innovation Expo, to offer even more value to attendees and visitors.
