Germany – Leipzig’s Intec and Z have closed their doors posting an increase in visitor numbers – 24,200 from 35 countries (2015: 23,500 visitors from 35 countries) attended the event from 7-10 March at the Leipziger Messe.
According to the official survey, 90 % of the Intec exhibitors and 85 % of the Z exhibitors indicated having met their goals for the trade fairs.

1,382 exhibitors from 30 countries (2015: 1,433 exhibitors from 33 countries) took part and both visitors and exhibitors were satisfied with Intec and Z 2017, the organisers reported.
Intec offered a platform for the metal processing sector, while Z-subcontracting was once again the competent partner for the industry in innovative and flexible supply services.
Thus, Leipzig was a worthy venue for the key inaugural get-together of the metal processing and supply industry. “This illustrates the attractiveness and great appeal of both trade fairs,” says Markus Geisenberger, managing director of Leipziger Messe, adding: “Our trade fair combination impressively consolidated its strong position among Europe’s leading industry trade fairs with their outstanding results. Innovative, competent and international – that is how the trade fairs Intec and Z 2017 presented themselves.“
Intec 2017 also hosted a number of new exhibitors from Germany and abroad. Among them is Hwacheon Machinery Europe. “We were on hand for the first time with our own stand. We are very satisfied, especially due to the fact that we were positively surprised by the number of visitors. Visitors came to us with specific inquiries, which makes us optimistic about good follow-up business,” Jaeho Cho, manager of the Korean machine tool manufacturer based at the European headquarters.
Z also boasted international exhibitors who celebrated their premier in Leipzig. Sweden-based Got Springs is one of several and the company's Managing Director Rolf Hellqvist said, “Two years ago, I attended Z as a visitor. That convinced me to come this year and exhibit. By the way, this was also the first time that the company has participated in a trade fair outside of Sweden. Leipzig is conveniently located for accessing the markets in Poland and Czech Republic. We are very impressed with the trade fair.”
