Congress Industrial Technologies event opens in Denmark in June
Industrial Technologies 2012, a three-day congress scheduled for 19–21 June in Aarhus, Denmark, brings together more than 1,200 representatives of the so-called NMP field, which integrates nanotechnology, advanced materials and innovative production technologies.

The event, which is supported by the European Commission Discussion Group for Research & Innovation, includes a supporting exhibition of future-oriented industrial technologies and also a “matchmaking day” for companies, technology centres, R&D institutes, research laboratories, universities and private researchers looking for business opportunities, technology transfer or partners for European projects.
With a theme of “growth and competitiveness by 2020”, the event focuses on commercialising technologies developed to match industry needs and on smart solutions for improving the European innovation environment. Attendees can expect to meet high-profile speakers from the realms of industry, government and research, discuss visions for European industry and research in 2020, and share know-how related to the implementation of solutions for succeeding in the fact of global competition.
The congress programme consists of 4 plenary sessions, 18 specific technical sessions and 16 workshops. More than 100 speakers will discuss aspects of the economic and technological impact of NMP on Europe’s growth, drawing special attention to low-emission transportation, integrated systems, environmental amelioration, energy generation and storage, healthcare, and the factories of the future.
Industrial Technologies 2010 in Brussels attracted over a thousand participants from 40 countries, including CEOs, CTOs, policy makers, investors and scientists.
