Moulding-Expo Inaugural tool and mould show exceeds expectations

Germany - Moulding-Expo organiser Messe Stuttgart is happy: The inaugural show, which took place at the Stuttgart exhibitions centre form 5 to 8 May, attracted around 15,000 visitors.

According to the organisers, 31% of visitors came from the automobile sector, 27% were tool and mould makers, 20% of visitors had a mechanical engineering background and 16% were involved in the plastics processing industry. 11% of visitors came from abroad.

Head of Messe Stuttgart, Ulrich Kromer von Baerle, was happy: "Such a successful show premiere is unique in Messe Stuttgart's 75-year history." He said that 98% of visitors would recommend the show and 94% plan to attend the 2017 show again.

Guido Rebstock (Undersecretary, Ministry of Finance and Economics in Baden-Württemberg, Germany) is glad that the tool and mould making industry has found a new home in Stuttgart, the heart of Germany's machine tool and precision tool industry. According to Rebstock, every second machine tool is made in Baden-Württemberg. The region prides itself with spending 5.1% of its GDP for R&D.
