Canada’s Husky Injection Molding Systems has announced the appointment of Gerardo Chiaia as president of hot runners, products that now comprise a separate business area. The company said, “To better serve customers, Husky is taking the step of establishing hot runners as their own stand-alone business.”

It noted that Chiaia has held various positions at Husky’s service, sales and manufacturing operations. The manager has worked as vice-president of global sales in the company’s beverage packaging business since December 2011.

Keith Carlton will replace Chiaia, Husky said, adding that it has also created a team for developing, refining and launching products.
