The company said it will present the product at its booth 1/B08, where it will produce PC infusion devices on an Elion 1750-530 with a cycle time of approximately 16 seconds. HRS Flow noted that the part is the result of a co-operation with well-known international companies: Italian mould- maker R.B. built the 16-cavity mould, Sabic Europe supplied the PC material and Piovan is responsible for raw material supply and the cooling equipment .

The mould is equipped with the Multitech hot runner system and has been optimised for fast colour changes, the supplier said. This facet of the system affects the entire hot runner, with special focus on the nozzle zone. The bore channel sizing and channel finish are designed according to the type of material to be processed. Special attention is focused on the gate zone, which is suitably shaped for the purpose of using insulation rings. The system is said to have top thermal stability due to reduced thermal dissipation between the hot runner system and the hot half combined with an optimal cooling channel layout.
