A key element in injection moulding production is the control of the heat management. The new rectangular Hasco thermal insulating sheets Z12120/… for highly stressed moulds prevent the uncontrolled heat dissipation from heated injection moulding and compression moulding tools into the platens, and thus enable efficient and reliable production.

The new thermal insulating sheet, which was developed specifically for use in highly stressed moulds, is noted for its outstanding thermal properties. A low coefficient of thermal conductivity in combination with high thermal compressive strength makes this sheet the ideal solution for heat insulation in demanding production processes. The outstanding insulation properties go hand in hand with excellent chemical resistance, which guarantees a long service life and reliability even under extreme conditions.

The mechanical and long-term thermal resistance of the Z12120/... increases not only the process reliability but also contributes to a considerable reduction in energy consumption. Through the use of this thermal insulating sheet, energy savings of up to 50 % can be achieved, thereby making a significant contribution to increasing efficiency and also to sustainability in production.

Made of high-grade glass fibre fabric and high-temperature resin, the Hasco thermal insulating sheets offer excellent temperature resistance and are noted for their very good dimensional stability. The coefficient of expansion of the sheets is comparable with that of steel, whereby a reliable fit is guaranteed even under extreme temperature conditions. This allows constant performance and long life of the moulds in the production process.
