Haas Automation has recognized its best factory outlets in Europe at the company's annual distributor conference and has announced plans to open four more technical education centres in Europe this year.

General Manager Bob Murray, and Managing Director of Haas Automation Europe Alain Reynvoet presented the awards to senior managers from the winning outlets. Both praised the distributors for their continued investment in service and support infrastructure, and the dedicated sales and technical personnel.

The machine tool maker said first prize was awarded to Sweden’s Edströms Maskin AB, second prize went to German-based Katzenmeier Maschinenservice GmbH, and third prize to Teximp International from the Czech Republic.

Reynvoet said, “All of our award-winning outlets can be proud of what they have achieved. Haas sets high standards for its distributors, so that customers can enjoy industry-leading support wherever they are located and however large or small they are.” Murray added: “Above all others, these three particular outlets meet and exceed those standards and we are very happy to recognise their hard work."

The company's machine tools and rotary products are designed and built at a manufacturing facility in California. Local service and support around the world is provided by more than 150 factory outlets, Haas said.

The company said it will open at least four more technical training centres in Europe to bring the number of new sites this year to 13. The new centres will be in the Czech Republic, France, Italy and Spain, it said.
