Business Environment Gildemeister sees steady demand after strong orders at AMB, IMTS
Indications of vibrant demand in the United States and Europe, the German machine tool maker says.
Gildemeister said it was "pleased" with recent trade shows in Germany and the United States and recorded a combined order intake of €93.7 million and 377 machines sold at AMB in Stuttgart and IMTS in Chicago. At AMB, Gildemeister venture DMG/Mori Seiki unveiled eight world premieres, and at IMTS, DMG/Mori Seiki showed 45 high-tech machines designed for the American market.
The company said it expects a further boost from other fairs, including the BIMU in Milan and the JIMTOF in Japan. The autumn fairs confirm business development is in line with plans, it said.
