Branding Gildemeister scraps name, reports great EMO

Gildemeister has changed its name to DMG Mori Seiki as of 1 October, and the company said it set a record at EMO 2013.

According to the company’s website, “The combination of innovative power and engineering expertise plus a unique product portfolio in machine tool building come together under one name: DMG Mori Seiki. Gildemeister Aktiengesellschaft has therefore become DMG Mori Seiki Aktiengesellschaft, representing tradition, precision and technological leadership on a global scale - a strong, reliable and long-term partner for customers across the world.”

In a statement, the machine tool builder reported record orders of €276.4 million and more than 1,100 products sold at EMO.

The company said it had the largest exhibit space at the metalworking show. It added that it expects a strong boost to post-trade fair business provided by 6,083 new offers, an increase of 6% compared to EMO 2011.
