Walter German supplier delivers 1,000th measuring unit
The customer had another event to celebrate.
Walter Maschinenbau, Tübingen, has announced the commissioning of its 1,000th non-contact CNC-measuring machine from its Helicheck line at the Kennametal plant in Nabburg, Germany. The company has been supplying such devices for some two decades.
During a small ceremony at the Kennametal factory, Christian Dilger, managing director of sales at Walter, presented Plant Manager Mario Wild with a certificate commemorating the event and a white orchid.
The purchaser had more to celebrate than just the delivery of the unit: The company is marking the 40th anniversary of the production site, which makes special drilling and reaming products in small volumes.
Kennametal’s Wild explained that an increasing number of his company’s customers ask for protocols as a matter of course from the measuring unit for special tools designed and produced in Nabburg.
