German machine tool supplier F. Zimmermann has announced that its new factory will be ready this summer, which means the company will be moving into its new headquarters just in time for its 80th anniversary, which it celebrates this year.

The company, based in Denkendorf since 1956, has been using the nearby Neuhausen site for assembly operations since 2006, and the addition of a three-storey administration building along with access to buildings that it had previously leased out will allow for the move.

“The new company headquarters offers the chance to unite all the specialty areas under one roof,” Managing Director Rudolf Gänzle said. “The gantry machines that we build are becoming constantly larger, and the site in Denkendorf is too small for this.” The new location also provides a direct connection to highways and the airport, he noted, adding that the company has invested €2 million in the site.
