The device is said to represent a combination of the Lach Diamant Cool Injection cooling system and Plus, a chip controller for the HSC cutting of aluminium patented by Audi. The result is a directed cooling stream through the PCD cutting surface with the chip control in one tool. This is said to allow for the extreme high cutting speeds and feed rates of HSC cutting.

The cutters can be made with the highest possible number of cutting edges because chips are immediately forced away from the cutting zone, Lach Diamant said.
