Converting mould systems previously driven by hydraulic or pneumatic means to electrically-driven mould motions, specifically via servo-motors and actuators, offers many advantages. It is a trend that is happening in our industry and it is something that Husky is very well aware of and actively participates in by supplying those systems to the market space. Servo control is not new but quite new to the mould making industry in regard to what has been done with mould motions traditionally (pneumatic or hydraulic drives).
This free webinar will focus on answering the question of why mould makers should make the change. Basically, electrification of mould movements is about risk mitigation. Moreover, attendees will learn about the basics of servo-controlled mould functions, different servo-control solutions, benefits of mould electrification, and the application review process. The objective is to provide an understanding of servo-control and how it can improve mould functions.
Primary Topics:
Why make the change to mould electrification
Comparing different servo control solutions
Motor sizing pitfalls and the application review process
Commissioning your servo solution and the importance of global support
