Made of an elastomer to prevent damage to the surface of the punched part, the stripper accurately fits the contour on the cutting shaft, cutting on the first stroke, the supplier notes. Moreover, zero-play fitting is ensured, overcoming accidental drawing-in of the strip. The stripper encases the cutting punch, increasing its buckling resistance and the high contact pressure on the strip allows it to be held down during the punching process, the company explains. Another development is the Die Set Wizard. According to Meusburger It now offers the E 5242 Guiding bush with collar and roller cage option that enables the Wizard to calculate automatically, the company says. This feature can be used for all types of die sets (SV, SP, SH).

Optimum way to keep cool and costs down

Since the start of 2015, the company is offering new functions in its CD and online catalogue that are included in the catalogue update 5.8.6.0. Among the new products are hydraulic cylinders and the E 1840 round latch lock that can be customized during the CAD export. According to the company, customers need to enter the parameters required (length and stroke) when exporting their CAD data, to create the 3D model as per their specifications.
