The Russian trade show Rosmould will be held in Moscow from 15 to 17 May 2018. The focus of the show is on moulds, dies, stamps, and equipment for manufacturing. The show is divided in four thematic areas: Moulds, dies, and stamps; additive technologies, raw materials, and machinery and tooling.

According to Messe Frankfurt, Rosmould is the only specialised show for moulding in Russia and Eastern Europe. Especially the plastics processing industry is present there. Key exhibitors include Milacron, DME, Hasco and Oerlikon.

Rosmould also features several national pavilions. Germany, India, Spain, Turkey and China will be present with their own delegation.

One of the main focuses is additive manufacturing. The organisers at Messe Frankfurt see Rosmould also as a Russian equivalent of the German Formnext exhibition. A number of companies will exhibit their products around additive technologies and 3D printing, including Raise3D, Wanhao, Flash Forge, 3DSystems, 3DVision, and many more. Moreover, Rosmould also features the International business forum “Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing in Industry”.

Russia is among the ten countries most attractive for investment, World Economic Forum in Davos announced on 23 January based on a survey of consulting company Pricewaterhouse Coopers. 57 percent of the managing directors assure of the economic growth in 2018 in spite of sanctions and embargo.

In the plastics moulding industry, volumes constantly rise (excluding 2009 and 2014). At the same time, the volume of foreign products dominates. The rising demand for moulds is due to the development of production of plastics items in Russia. As a result, the sector witnessed a growth of 7 percent in 2017 and the value amounted to 22 billion RU. In 2018 a growth of 15 percent and exceedance of 466 million USD is expected. The positive forecast is based on permanent positive dynamics of deliveries of injection molding machines to Russia since 2001: in 2015 - 1246 machines, in 2016 – 1339 machines, in 2017 – 1415 machines.
