When Metav opens its doors in Düsseldorf this year, Teamtec CNC-Werkzeugmaschinen will again be there as well. On the one hand, the Alzenau-based company represents the Italian machine tool manufacturers Biglia and Rema Control in Germany, and on the other hand, it offers a service portfolio that goes far beyond the sale of high-quality CNC lathes and milling machines. The portfolio ranges from optimisation of manufacturing strategies to complete plant automation, including training and proactive service.

As an example of the powerful machine programme, Teamtec will be showcasing the Biglia B 750YS turning centre with 80 mm bar capacity, Y-axis, driven tools, two C-axes and counter spindle at Metav. Thanks to this features, the Biglia B 750YS opens up a wide range of production possibilities: from universal turning to the complete machining of complex parts. The machine shown at Metav is supported by the MUK7012-III automatic short bar loader from Kurt Breuning Irco Maschinenbau, which ensures automated bar machining.

The multifunctional Biglia B 750YS is based on a solid 30 cast construction and is equipped with large-dimension flat guides in all linear axes. This results in a lifetime of continuous accuracy and maximum stability, making this turning centre ideal for heavy machining, among other things.

A core element of this machine is the new 16-position turret, equipped with a powerful, cooled drive motor. In the new variant, Biglia eliminated the mechanical power transmission through a pair of gears. Instead, the torque is now transmitted directly to the respective tool. The stable tool carrier system with its smooth-running tool drive, together with the highly dynamic motor spindles on the main and counter sides, contributes significantly to the high productivity, economy and precision of the Biglia B 750YS.

Also new on the turning centre is the latest Fanuc i-HMI control, which is designed for high-precision machining and reduced set-up times. It offers an intuitive touch panel interface with ergonomically arranged operating and function keys.
