The Hasco story began in 1924, when founder Hugo Hasenclever produced the first tools for processing the new material Bakelite in a basement workshop in Lüdenscheid. Ingenuity, consistent action and his gut feeling turned the company from an art and brass forge into a toolmaking specialist. The foundation had been laid for a typical Sauerland entrepreneurial career from a small family business to a globally operating company. Hugo Hasenclever successfully used his manual skills in metalworking for his hobbies in his spare time. For example, he tinkered with a replica of a roly-poly toy, which, according to tradition, he did not really to succeed at. The little man always remained lying on the ground. His son Rolf completed what his father had failed to do in secret night-time excursions to his father's workshop. He proudly presented his father with the standing man as a finished toy that always stood up. Once again, Hugo's father's gut instinct did not let him down when he recognised Rolf's talent and flair for the conceptual and structured implementation of technical challenges. Rolf followed his father's wishes and joined the family business, of which he later became Managing Director. To this day, the "Stehaufmännchen" symbolises the inventive spirit in the company's history. But for now, here is more about Hasco's recent 5 developments for tool and mould making.

1. USA temperature control system now also available in stainless steel

The stainless steel temperature control range is used for reliable temperature control of injection moulds in clean rooms or in medical technology, for the application of hot or cold water or temperature control oil. Hasco has recently added stainless steel temperature control elements VA in the USA system ZI to its range (see lead image). Manufactured entirely from the high-quality material 1.4305, the robust, safe and easy-to-couple system reliably guarantees absolutely tight and durable temperature control - even in clean room environments. The standard stainless steel temperature components are also equipped with an optimised FKM seal and can be used up to a maximum water temperature of 150 °C and oil temperature of 200 °C, as Hasco emphasises. The different coefficients of thermal expansion of steel and brass, particularly in high-temperature applications, occasionally cause minor leaks, which are a thing of the past with the new stainless steel range. This eliminates the need for costly additional sealing.
