First CEPlast Trade Fair in Budapest Called a Success

The 1st Central European Plastics and Rubber Exhibition (CEPlast), which took place over three days in late November in Budapest, Hungary, has been declared a success by Targi Kielce, the organizer. More than 70 exhibiting companies from 10 countries participated in CEPlast 2011,: and delivered positive opinions of the fair.

The exhibition brought together companies mainly from Central and Eastern Europe, including market leaders. It was intended to provide a common meeting platform for raw materials and machine providers, plastics processors and the users of finished products. CEPlast is effectively the Hungarian version of the international exhibition Plastpol, the 16th edition of which will be held at the fairgrounds in Kielce, Poland, in May 2012. The co-organizer of the CEPlast trade fair is ECEBD (Eastern and Central European Business Development Ltd.).

CEPlast 2011 was accompanied by the 2nd East-Central European Plastics Converters Forum. The primary focus of the forum was how the question of to increase income for plastics processing companies operating in Central European markets. This two-day meeting assessed the current situation and presented a vision of the future for plastics processors and the civil engineering and construction markets. Also examined were trends in applications for plastics, plastics used in agricultural development, and, especially, the development of the sector and its latest technologies.

The 2nd CEPlast will be held in 2012.
