Bavarian standards supplier Knarr has announced that it will be using the Euromold exhibition to present its latest fine centring units, which it manufactures in two distinct designs.
One chamfer is said to provide a longer centring path, and high-quality, low-wear materials such as 1.2379 and 1.2343 as well as a diamond-like coating are used in the manufacture of the devices. Knarr noted that the units offer both a compact and stable design and can operate to precisions of up to ±2.5µ.
During 2013, Knarr initiated an exclusive co-operation agreement with Pedrotti, the Italian cavity plate manufacturer. The “Knarr by Pedrotti” brand has debuted with standard tool cavity plates in 156 x 156mm sizes and above, manufactured from 1.1730 and Toolox 33 materials. Toolox is comparable to 1.2312.
The alliance was scheduled to initially operate purely in the German, Austrian, Swiss and Czech markets. Visitors to the updated WebShop on Knarr’s website can download individual 3D CAD files from Knarr’s product range.
Personnel from Knarr will be available to discuss the new fine centring units and to demonstrate other products from the company’s range at Euromold, the company said.
