Global manufacturing and supply chain company Fictiv announced significant advancements in its injection moulding capabilities. The updated service is designed to support customers throughout the entire project lifecycle — from quoting and design feedback to manufacturing and quality assurance. With a focus on reducing complexity and time-to-market, Fictiv integrates digital tools and expert guidance to streamline injection moulding workflows across diverse industries.

As part of these advancements, Fictiv has introduced new features within its Design for Manufacturability (DFM) process. Customers now receive more detailed visual feedback on gating and ejection locations, helping to inform design decisions that can improve part quality and extend mould lifespan. Additionally, the integration of mould flow simulation provides early insights into potential manufacturing challenges, such as fill issues or air traps, before tooling investment is made.

Fictiv has also expanded its Mold Library, a digital repository that consolidates all customer tooling assets in one place. The update offers improved visibility into mould build status, tooling configurations, and component specifications, allowing customers greater oversight and control during the manufacturing process.

Fictiv’s injection moulding offering supports the production of complex plastic components across sectors such as automotive, climate technology, medical devices, consumer goods, and electronics.
